Our client, a long standing partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, is looking for an experienced Business Support Officer / Programme Administrator to join a busy, collaborative Programmes team based in Stevenage. This is a high trust, people facing support role, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting on site customer visits during peak periods. It will suit an experienced administrator who enjoys being at the centre of activity, takes pride in delivering a professional service, and thrives in a structured but fast moving environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing proactive, high quality administrative support to a dynamic Programmes team and senior stakeholders
- Managing complex diaries, meetings and travel arrangements, including international travel and expenses
- Coordinating and supporting on site customer visits (minimum two days per week during peak visit periods)
- Planning and supporting meetings, events, workshops and training sessions, capturing actions and ensuring follow up
- Producing accurate documentation and presentations using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and OneNote)
- Supporting access control and business processes in line with security and compliance requirements
- Contributing to wider UK Support Function initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Providing flexible administrative support as business needs evolve
What do you need?
- Demonstrable experience in a Business Support, Programme Support, Senior Administrator, PA or similar role
- Comfortable in a customer facing environment, delivering a professional and high quality service
- Experienced in complex diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements
- Highly organised, resilient and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote
- Proactive, detail focused and keen to improve processes and ways of working
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and handles confidential information with discretion
