Our client, a long-standing partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to take ownership of power and analog electronic design across complex, safety-critical defence systems.
This role sits at the heart of missile and firing unit development, working from concept through detailed design, verification and production support.
What youll be doing Design analog and power electronic circuits at sub-system and PCB level for missile-borne and land/sea/air-based systems Own the electronics design lifecycle: requirements ? schematic design ? review ? integration ? support to manufacture Work on technically challenging, high-reliability products with demanding performance, EMC and environmental constraints Act as a technical authority within a multidisciplinary engineering team (software, firmware, mechanical, EMC, environmental) Provide realistic cost and schedule input to support project delivery Support design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across released designs What were looking for Strong background in electronics design with a focus on power and/or analog circuitry Experience taking designs from concept into production within regulated or safety-critical environments Comfortable owning complex electronic designs and mentoring or technically guiding others Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work across engineering disciplines Degree in Electronics or a closely related subject (or equivalent industry experience) Experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, rail or similar high-integrity sectors is advantageous.
