About the Role
Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to offer an Engineering Configuration Manager to join the Digital Wing team. You'll play a key role in shaping and managing configuration across multiple aircraft programmes, working at the heart of engineering, digital transformation, and programme delivery. This is a highly collaborative role where you will influence change, drive process excellence, and support the full lifecycle of aircraft configuration management. You'll be part of a forward-thinking environment focused on innovation, digitalisation, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage end-to-end engineering change processes across aircraft programmes
- Coordinate configuration management activities to ensure delivery against time, cost, and quality targets
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Programme, Airworthiness, Manufacturing, and wider teams
- Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment across complex programmes
- Support and influence digital transformation initiatives, including PLM and automation strategies
- Oversee key configuration activities such as:
- Engineering Decision Dossiers (EDD)
- Modification Proposal Dossiers (MPD)
- Design Query Notes (DQN)
- Service Bulletin (SB) processes and Mod closures
- Identify risks, anticipate challenges, and implement effective solutions
- Champion best practice and continuous improvement across the Airbus community
- Contribute to innovation through opportunities in Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and digitalisation activities

Essential
- Proven experience in Configuration Management or Engineering Change Management
- Strong understanding of end-to-end change processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver in a fast-paced, complex environment
Desirable
- Background in aerospace or engineering environments
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent experience in Engineering or Aeronautics
- Experience with configuration and PDM tools (e.g. ICC, MCT, Primes, DPDS, ACC2)
- Digital or data skills (e.g. Python, SQL, Skywise)
