What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management
- Implement commodity strategies that support Airbus' long‑term operational needs.
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement projects, including tendering, supplier evaluation and selection.
- Develop, maintain and optimise a robust supplier base capable of delivering high‑quality construction services.
- Conduct negotiations, set up contracts and manage national & international framework agreements.
- Contract & Performance Management
- Ensure suppliers deliver to contractual commitments across cost, time and quality.
- Lead contract reviews using measurable KPIs, driving performance improvements where needed.
- Identify risks, resolve issues proactively and initiate supplier recovery plans when necessary.
- Collaboration & Project Leadership
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, facilities, project management and senior leadership.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams on UK and international procurement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to ensure transactional procurement activities run smoothly and compliantly.
- Continuous Improvement & Savings Delivery
- Contribute to Airbus Savings Programmes through requirements harmonisation, specification optimisation and demand management.
- Support the development of overall procurement strategy by providing costing, benchmarking and make‑or‑buy analysis.
- Adopt and promote modern procurement techniques, including e‑procurement and digital catalogues.
What You’ll Bring
- Essential
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or facilities management (5+ years).
- Strong negotiation and supplier‑relationship management skills.
- Experience in developing or implementing procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical ability, including commercial and financial analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to influence at multiple levels.
- Desirable
- CIPS qualification or working towards it.
- Experience with NEC contracts, construction frameworks, or capital expenditure projects.
- Background in building project management.
- Additional European languages (French, Spanish, German).
