About the role

Guidant Global is recruiting a Logistics Business Controller to support a high-profile manufacturing environment at Airbus Broughton. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support, while working closely with operational stakeholders.

You will help shape financial strategy, provide insight into performance, and support the business in identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiencies. This role offers meaningful exposure to complex operations, long-term planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Financial planning & challenge: Build a strong understanding of the operational and strategic environment, including governance, constraints, and business priorities. Lead financial planning activities, producing accurate forecasts and setting multi-year financial targets aligned to wider business objectives. Develop and run financial models, scenarios, and business cases to support decision-making across projects and initiatives. Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation and optimisation strategies.
  • Analysis & insight: Produce clear, accurate financial reports at the appropriate level of detail. Analyse actual performance against forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. Review cost structures, revenues, unit costs, and R&D spend to identify drivers for efficiency and competitiveness. Track and support the delivery of cost-saving and optimisation initiatives.
  • Execution support & data quality: Calculate hourly rates and support resource reviews and headcount planning. Prepare chargeback and cost reallocation models. Review commitments, accruals, purchase orders, and shopping carts in line with governance requirements. Support cost rebooking and transfers where required, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a finance, controlling, or business analysis role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and governance (highly desirable).
  • Confidence working with financial models, forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
  • Experience is prioritised over formal qualifications for this role.

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive pay: £29.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £21.68 per hour (PAYE).
  • The opportunity to work on-site within a major UK manufacturing operation.
  • Exposure to long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Support from Guidant Global, a trusted recruitment partner to leading organisations.
