This is an opportunity to work on advanced RF seeker systems within a leading defence programme supporting the UK Ministry of Defence. You will join a specialist Systems Design (SDMS) team, contributing to the development of complex missile sub-systems, with a focus on architecture definition, requirements management, and system integration. This role offers exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and the opportunity to work across the full system lifecycle in a highly collaborative engineering environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Contributing to the definition of system architecture, applying MBSE principles
- Eliciting, developing and managing system requirements across the lifecycle
- Creating Functional and Physical Architectures using SysML or similar modelling approaches
- Supporting system integration, verification and validation activities
- Working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, suppliers and stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of operational and functional concepts for seeker technologies
What we're looking for:
Essential experience:
- Strong background in Systems Engineering within complex engineering environments
- Experience in requirements elicitation, definition and lifecycle management
- Practical use of MBSE methodologies (e.g. SysML, UML, ARCADIA or similar)
- Experience developing system architectures and specifications
- Ability to work across cross-functional engineering teams
Desirable experience:
- Experience with DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella
- Exposure to modelling
