Are you caring, patient, and passionate about helping others live independently? We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to support children and adults across West Sussex. In this rewarding role, you'll help individuals with a range of physical, learning, sensory, and mental health needs to live fulfilling lives, maintain their independence, and achieve their personal goals.

Whether you already have experience in care and support or have transferable skills from a customer-facing, childcare, healthcare, or community-based role, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting daily living activities and promoting independence
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Administering medication in line with training and procedures
  • Supporting mobility, moving and handling, and hoisting where required
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where appropriate
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social interaction
  • Completing accurate records and reporting concerns or changes in wellbeing
  • Carrying out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Following care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans
  • Responding effectively in emergency situations

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in care, support work, healthcare, residential care, childcare, or a similar role is desirable
  • A caring, compassionate, and positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support
  • Physical ability to support individuals safely
  • Access to reliable transport, as travel between locations is essential
