What You\βll Be Doing
As a Social Worker within the Children in Care Team, your responsibilities will include:
Holding a caseload of children and adolescents with long-term care plans
Managing statutory responsibilities for Children in Care
Completing Child & Family Assessments and care planning
Contributing to and attending Looked After Children reviews
Working closely with foster carers, residential placements, and partner agencies
Supporting children and adolescents to achieve permanence and emotional stability
Undertaking direct work with children and adolescents to promote their voice, lived experience, and outcomes
Preparing reports and attending meetings and court proceedings when required
Ensuring all work is completed in line with statutory guidance, legislation, and timescales
This role requires confident case holding, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously while remaining part of a supportive team.
What We\βre Looking For
Qualified Social Worker with Children in Care experience
Current Social Work England registration
Experience managing cases involving long-term care planning
Strong assessment, care planning, and report-writing skills
Ability to travel across Derbyshire as required
Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and adolescents
