Hull City Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their Adult Services team, based at the Orchard Centre, Hull (HU6 9BX). This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner to undertake meaningful statutory work across a range of adult care settings, ensuring high-quality, person-centred outcomes.
This role is ideal for a Social Worker with strong Care Act knowledge who is comfortable working across community and commissioned settings, with a clear focus on statutory reviews and effective use of direct payments.
The Role
Completing statutory Care Act reviews across multiple settings, including care homes, community placements and day services
Reviewing and monitoring direct payment packages to ensure they continue to meet assessed needs and desired outcomes
Working directly with adults, carers, providers and partner agencies
Ensuring practice is compliant with Care Act legislation and local authority policies
Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case records
Working Arrangements
Based at the Orchard Centre, HU6 9BX
Office-based working a minimum of 3 days per week
Flexible working hours, subject to agreement with the line manager
What You\’ll Need
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
Experience within Adult Social Care, particularly statutory review work
Strong knowledge of the Care Act and person-centred practice
Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple settings
