The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

Part-Time role (Hybrid working 21.9 hours/Week). You can split hours from Monday to Friday to complete 21.9 hours (2 Days onsite Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday).

Main purpose of the job: The Senior Communications and Engagement Officer is responsible for shaping and delivering effective communications and engagement activity to support the Health of the Public strategy. The role leads on digital channels, events and stakeholder engagement, enabling collaboration across research communities, supporting early career initiatives, and ensuring clear communication across governance structures.

The role-holder will work with the Health of the Public team to develop and support their communications strategy and programme of initiatives which aim to:

  • Raise the profile of Population Health research and education activity across our company.
  • Foster new research collaborations and partnerships.
  • Generate and maintain key target audiences' interest in and involvement with the activities of Health of the Public.

Key working relationships: The post holder will report to the Head of Health of the Public. They will be expected to work collaboratively with:

  • Our Health of the Public's Director and wider company's Health of the Public governance structure.
  • Vice Provost (Health) and other VPHO teams.
  • Colleagues responsible for communications within company's faculties and other communications staff within Central company.
  • Colleagues within the Office of the Vice-Provost Research, Innovation & Global Engagement (RIGE) leading on communications and events for company's Grand Challenges, Research and Innovation Opportunity Spaces and other strategic initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities: Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing communications and events support for the HoP strategy.
  • Supporting the migration and further development of the Health of the Public website.
  • Leading on our Health of the Public social media activities.
  • Producing a monthly newsletter and regular emails and Teams messages to share content with our Early Careers Network and Research Communities.
  • Planning and organising events to bring together researchers and key internal and external stakeholders to develop new collaborations and partnerships.
  • Supporting and providing guidance to Health of the Public Early Careers Network for their initiatives.
  • Supporting the co-ordination of meetings for the Health of the Public governance structures.
