Carbon60 is looking to recruit an experienced QC Inspector to support fabric inspection and quality control activities within a fast-paced textile manufacturing environment in Keighley.
ROLE: QC Inspector
PAY RATE: £16.20 per hour
CONTRACT TYPE: ASAP - November | Night Shift | Monday to Friday | 10pm - 6am
LOCATION: Keighley
THE ROLE: The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated inspection team responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across loom-state and finished fabric inspection processes. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals with strong attention to detail and experience working within quality-focused manufacturing or textile environments. The role will involve leading and supporting inspection activities while ensuring daily production targets and operational standards are consistently achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect off-loom and finished fabric to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Carry out mandatory quality and shade checks against fabric specifications
- Patrol and mend fabric using the accumulator loom inspection system
- Accurately record and map faults using QT terminals or manual fault maps
- Identify fabric faults using tailor's chalk in line with agreed specifications
- Allocate and transfer fabric pieces to the correct system locations with relevant allowances
- Load 'A' frames and manage fabric movement from finishers
- Ensure fabric presentation standards are maintained prior to delivery
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards across all working areas
- Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and production teams
- Support continuous production and operational excellence within the inspection department
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience within a textile or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
- Ability to follow processes and quality procedures consistently
- Good problem-solving skills and proactive approach to work
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment
- Understanding of health & safety procedures within manufacturing settings
- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
DESIRABLE
- Previous fabric inspection or textile quality control experience
- Experience using Lean tools and techniques
- Basic Excel and Microsoft Word skills
- Experience working night shifts within production or manufacturing environments
