Guidant Global is recruiting on behalf of Airbus for a Local Immigration Expert to join a temporary, full-time maternity cover position at Filton.
You will be part of Airbus's Immigration Centre of Expertise (CoE) within the Global Mobility Compliance team, a community of HR colleagues passionate about international mobility. The CoE supports the business and its employees with their legal obligations around business travel, short-term assignments and external recruitment. You will be based in the UK at Filton and will work across all Airbus entities, including ADS.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Travel and Short-Term Assignments Managing the relationship with the external immigration consultants who handle the administration of moves to the UK, ensuring employees on short international moves have the initial and continuing right to work Collecting and providing the data the provider needs to process visa requests, such as job descriptions, salary information and home and host entity details Managing A1 certificate requests and health insurance certificates where applicable Collecting company information and official documents on a regular basis and sharing them with the provider Maintaining a global tracker of employee visa expiry dates Acting as a one-stop shop for HR Managers, HRBPs, Line Managers, Recruitment Business Partners, Customer Services, Reward Operations, Global Mobility and Security, offering advice, guidance, application support and coordination Running awareness sessions on immigration rules Consolidating knowledge with transnational HR (GM, SPIR international) Contributing to the collaborative network of local Immigration Experts Carrying out legal monitoring External Recruitment of Non-UK/Non-Irish Nationals Managing the immigration steps in the end-to-end external recruitment process, both within and outside the HR tool Contacting the selected candidate and checking their immigration title Where applicable, initiating the immigration provider and following up the case Reviewing immigration documents once issued and confirming them in the HR tool Other Responsibilities Managing employee visa renewals and change of employment applications Ensuring sponsor licence responsibilities with the Home Office are met Handling external provider financial management Contributing to national and transnational key projects What We're Looking For Essential A diploma or certification in UK immigration, or strong experience in UK immigration Expertise in UK immigration, including inbound UK immigration knowledge Experience of giving immigration advice Knowledge of visas and sponsorship Experience of working alongside a visa provider Stakeholder management skills, with experience of working with external organisations on immigration matters Demonstrated experience in negotiation and in managing operational tasks to a high standard An awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity Desirable A diploma in labour law Relevant experience of working with external bodies or organisations What's on Offer A temporary, full-time role supporting an internationally focused team at Airbus Hybrid working, with 80% of your time onsite at Filton The chance to work across all Airbus entities and build your network with HR and mobility colleagues Inclusive Recruitment
