PAY RATE: £20.73 - £22.34 PAYE (£40,000 - £43,000 per annum DOE)

CONTRACT: Contract 3 Months with potential for a permanent opportunity

HOURS: 37 Hours per Week

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to carry out a range of planned and reactive maintenance works across residential properties. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of trade tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out first and second fix carpentry works.
  • Complete first and second fix plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Undertake plastering, painting, and decorating works.
  • Carry out minor masonry repairs, floor laying, tiling, fencing, and general groundworks.
  • Complete on-site risk assessments and identify potential hazards before commencing work.
  • Deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance in line with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative.
  • Strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting & decorating, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (company vehicle provided).
  • DBS check (existing DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and risk assessments.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Experience working within social housing or residential maintenance environments.
  • Multi-skilled trade background.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
