About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cash Advisor to join a busy finance team on a fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong reconciliation and cash allocation experience who enjoys working with large volumes of financial data and multiple systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing, allocation and reconciliation of incoming payments while supporting financial control activities across the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming payments and cash allocation activities
- Reconcile bank receipts and allocate payments to customer accounts
- Match and link bank statement transactions to Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices
- Complete complex account and control account reconciliations
- Perform accurate cross-system reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Analyse and interpret large volumes of financial data from multiple source systems
- Produce management information and reports to support financial controls
- Coordinate the resolution and escalation of reconciliation issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team
- Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in finance, cash operations, accounts receivable, or reconciliation-focused roles
- Strong account reconciliation experience is essential
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUPs
- SUMIFS
- Formula creation and manipulation
- Experience working across multiple financial systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Desirable Experience
- SAP experience
- Experience within a shared services or finance operations environment
