Our client, a highly respected UK Ministry of Defence partner, is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Bolton. This role is key to ensuring the quality and certification of electrical hardware used in critical defence programmes.
You will work in a structured manufacturing environment, supporting product certification and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Inspect electrical assemblies to confirm correct build, connections, and finish
- Carry out intermediate inspections and non-product certification checks
- Complete and certify manufacturing documentation and manage non-conforming items
- Produce inspection and quality records and use specialised inspection tools
- Support audits and ensure ongoing compliance with manufacturing standards
Requirements:
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
- Several years experience in a skilled manufacturing or inspection role
- IPC-610 and IPC-620 certification or training
- Manual handling and ESD training
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
