The Opportunity

We're looking for a talented Stress Engineer to join our Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET). You'll be part of a supportive group of technical specialists and engineering leads, working together to find innovative solutions for Airbus wing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform static structural analysis on composite and metallic aircraft structures.
  • Analyse and validate components for static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance, producing strength margins and reserve factors using Airbus methods.
  • Provide stress analyses for the repair and acceptance of metallic and composite/hybrid structures.
  • Ensure all work meets airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Will hold T400 Concessions Approval.
  • Experience in aviation, military aircraft, or related products is highly valued.
  • Signatory/approval status is required for Stress Approver roles.
  • Knowledge of Airbus products and processes is a strong advantage.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Working Pattern & Benefits

  • Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:45pm - 6:00am, with a 30% shift allowance on top of your hourly rate.
  • Double Days: Alternating weeks of mornings (6:00am - 1:10pm) and afternoons (1:30pm - 8:40pm), with a 20% shift uplift.
  • Competitive pay: £46 - £52/hr Umbrella, depending on experience (PAYE equivalent available).
  • No travel required.
  • Onsite working at Broughton, with consideration for candidates based in Filton for the right profile.
  • This role is offered due to increased workload, providing excellent job security and the chance to make a real impact.
