Our client, a leading UK defence organisation, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support Assembly & Integration activities within a complex manufacturing environment.

Working on advanced electro-mechanical products, you'll be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, supporting production activities, resolving technical issues and ensuring efficient, compliant manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities Create and maintain manufacturing build instructions and process documentation Design, commission and validate manufacturing tooling Support industrial validation activities including FMEA and FAI Investigate and resolve manufacturing and production issues Manage route card updates and rework activities Support configuration control and implementation of engineering changes Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective actions using SAP Work closely with production, quality and design engineering teams

Essential Requirements Qualification Requirements: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard) AND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.) AND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved OR Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.

Additional Skills:

Experience within a manufacturing engineering environment Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Experience creating manufacturing processes, work instructions or assembly documentation Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

Electro-mechanical assembly and integration Complex product manufacturing FMEA and FAI activities SAP ESD awareness Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Rail or other regulated industries
