In this role, you'll take ownership of capital investment projects from early feasibility through to design, delivery, and final handover. What you'll be doing:
- Lead and deliver CAPEX projects
- Manage multi‐functional project teams (internal and external) to deliver safe, compliant and cost‐effective solutions
- Oversee projects from inception and feasibility through detailed design, specification, site monitoring and handover
- Develop and maintain project delivery plans, business cases and risk/opportunity registers
- Drive technical excellence: produce detailed design briefs for building services, prepare reports, drawings and specifications, ensuring technical compliance and alignment with H&S requirements, and apply industry‐standard design software and engineering tools to support project decisions
- Work with a range of stakeholders: collaborate with clients, architects, structural engineers and other design professionals; build strong working relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout project delivery
- Support financial management, including external cost control from approval through to completion
- Maintain safety and compliance: monitor installation works on site, ensuring adherence to technical standards, H&S requirements and Airbus procedures
What you'll bring:
We're looking for someone who can confidently lead construction‐focused engineering projects and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & experience:
- Proven experience managing capital investment or building services projects (client‐side experience highly advantageous)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate multi‐disciplinary teams
- Experience in delivering refurbishment and engineering services projects within existing buildings
- Ability to translate client briefs into robust construction requirements, including scopes of work for external professionals
- Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems, their design, operation and lifecycle
- Competence with IT and project tools such as SharePoint, MS Project and G‐Suite
Qualifications:
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in a Building Engineering Services or related discipline (experience may outweigh formal qualifications)
- Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, IET) is desirable
