The production planning community ensures that Airbus Broughton has the capacity and capability to deliver the Airbus wing production requirements, in accordance with aircraft commercial delivery dates. The department is key to providing the Senior Management team with the data required to enable them to make important strategic and tactical decisions. We are positioned at the heart of the Broughton Plant Multi-functional Team structure and work collaboratively with other functions, to ensure optimal planning results, e.g. Operations, Logistics, Finance, Human Resources, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc. Responsibilities Producing and maintaining the mid to long term MPS (Master Production Schedule) for all the products across in the Broughton plant. Updating tactical build plans, which are used to optimise production in the shorter term. Calculating resource requirements, to ensure we have workload / workforce alignment It is the Planning team who monitors the adherence to the build plan, whilst ensuring it is achievable. Tasks Master Production Scheduling (MPS). Tactical planning & work package monitoring. Capacity and resource calculations. Planning assumption agreement. Refinement and optimisation of the production build plans. Recovery planning. Scenario analysis. Compilation of key performance indicators (KPI’s) for reporting and monitoring of the business. Skillset Experience of Production Scheduling. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Collaborating well within a team. Able to interface with other functions in a production environment. A keenness to learn and develop. Experience of using Google suite and similar digital tools (e.g MS Office).
