This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional with a background in aerospace or aviation to play a key role in ensuring materials, components and assemblies meet the highest quality and airworthiness standards before entering Part 145 storage.
Working closely with the Logistics Team and reporting to the Logistics Manager, you'll collaborate with Safety & Compliance and MRO teams to maintain quality standards and support critical aircraft operations.
What You'll Be Doing As a Goods In Quality Inspector, you will: Carry out receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies using established inspection plans. Ensure compliance with quality procedures, airworthiness control plans and quality management system requirements. Inspect products against MAA, FAA and EASA Part 145 requirements, established quality standards and customer specifications. Maintain material batch records and manufacturer traceability information. Raise discrepancy reports and support the resolution of supplier quality concerns and customer complaints. Document and record non-conformance issues relating to business operations. Represent the Quality Management function during internal meetings, working groups and modification programmes. What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Knowledge of aircraft operations, aerospace materials and industry practices. Experience working within MAA Part 145, EASA Part 145 or similar regulated aviation environments. Part 21 experience will also be considered. Understanding of quality management systems and inventory control requirements. Good Microsoft Office skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance. Desirable Qualifications & Experience MAA, EASA or equivalent Part 145 Certification. Associate degree, technical qualification or university study in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of AS9100 and First Article Inspection processes. Logistics or inventory management experience. Customer-facing experience within a military or civilian aviation environment. Β£23.00 per hour PAYE or Β£30.76 per hour Umbrella Interview Process:
One-stage virtual interview Working Pattern For the first six months: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 16:15 Friday: 08:00 to 13:00 After approximately six months, the role will move to an early and late shift pattern operating between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.
No regular travel is required.
Security Clearance Candidates must be eligible to obtain
UK SC Clearance . The role will commence following BPSS clearance, with full security clearance completed through Airbus Security.
