Hours: 37 hours per week

Clearance: BPSS (arranged by AALTO Security)

As AALTO continues to scale its operations, we’re looking for skilled, hands-on technicians to help build the next generation of Zephyr aircraft and associated ground support equipment. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Production & Integration
  • Installing avionic and mechanical equipment on UAV platforms
  • Completing wiring tasks, system integration and component manufacturing
  • Conducting and recording installation and system-integration tests
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintaining accurate build records and documentation
    • Self-certifying completed work to high quality standards
    • Supporting continuous-improvement activities across the production area
    • Contributing to problem-solving and corrective-action activities
  • Safety & Care
    • Ensuring full adherence to Health & Safety processes
    • Handling fragile, precision components with care and attention

    What We’re Looking For

    You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working hands-on in a technical environment and take pride in producing high-quality engineering work.

    • Essential Skills & Experience
    • Multi-skilled practical experience in avionic or electronic engineering
    • Strong understanding of production or maintenance processes
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    • Experience building avionic hardware and wiring installations
    • Proven ability to approach and solve technical problems proactively
    • Organised, quality-focused and confident in self-checking your work
  • Desirable
    • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an avionic/electronic engineering discipline
    • Time-served apprenticeship in manufacture, installation or testing
    • Aerospace sector experience
    • Comfortable using relevant IT tools and systems

    Pay & Additional Information

    • PAYE: £23.29 per hour
    • Umbrella: £31.16 per hour
    • Occasional travel may be required
