Operating at 60,000 ft and fuelled entirely by sunlight, Zephyr is redefining what’s possible in connectivity, earth observation and sustainable aviation. As AALTO continues to scale its operations, we’re looking for skilled, hands-on technicians to help build the next generation of Zephyr aircraft and associated ground support equipment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Production & Integration
- Installing avionic and mechanical equipment on UAV platforms
- Completing wiring tasks, system integration and component manufacturing
- Conducting and recording installation and system-integration tests
- Maintaining accurate build records and documentation
- Self-certifying completed work to high quality standards
- Supporting continuous-improvement activities across the production area
- Contributing to problem-solving and corrective-action activities
- Ensuring full adherence to Health & Safety processes
- Handling fragile, precision components with care and attention
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working hands-on in a technical environment and take pride in producing high-quality engineering work.
- Essential Skills & Experience
- Multi-skilled practical experience in avionic or electronic engineering
- Strong understanding of production or maintenance processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience building avionic hardware and wiring installations
- Proven ability to approach and solve technical problems proactively
- Organised, quality-focused and confident in self-checking your work
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an avionic/electronic engineering discipline
- Time-served apprenticeship in manufacture, installation or testing
- Aerospace sector experience
- Comfortable using relevant IT tools and systems

- PAYE: £23.29 per hour
