What You’ll Do:

  • Lead with Vision: Set the strategic direction for property services, aligning your work with the council's bold ambitions.
  • Champion Change: Oversee the transition from external suppliers to an in‑house team, managing TUPE processes and shaping a culture of excellence.
  • Inspire and Empower: Build and nurture a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team where innovation thrives.
  • Drive Value: Ensure robust supplier relationships, strong contract governance, and deliver outstanding value for money.
  • Safeguard Standards: Uphold the highest standards in compliance, health and safety, and council governance.
  • Deliver Impact: Champion continuous improvement and deliver creative, cost‑effective solutions that make a real difference.

About You:

You’re a strategic thinker and a natural leader, ready to take on complex challenges and deliver results. You bring:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field; a postgraduate management qualification is a plus.
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS).
  • A proven track record leading large teams and managing supplier relationships.
  • Deep expertise in property design and delivery, including RIBA stages and BREEAM.
  • Strong knowledge of TUPE and service transitions.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
