Join Us as a Technical Support Engineer
We are partnering with Airbus to find a proactive Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy solving technical problems, supporting continuous improvement, and working close to production teams, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in one of the UK's most advanced aerospace facilities.
You will play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly by resolving technical issues, supporting shop-floor teams, and contributing to operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Daily Shop-Floor & Lineside Support
- Providing hands-on technical support to resolve issues such as missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, outstanding work and tooling matters.
- Supporting work-order management, including out-of-cycle tasks and identifying blocked work orders.
- Escalating issues to specialist teams (Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP and Outstanding Work) when required.
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Contributing to lean initiatives and helping identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve shop-floor processes.
- Supporting analysis of industrial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality, Safety & Logistics Support
- Helping ensure production and quality standards are maintained at all stations.
- Supporting the communication and application of EH&S rules and identifying near-misses.
- Assisting with the prioritisation of materials linked to rework orders.
- Tools, Jigs & Asset Support
- Assisting in creation or modification requests for new tools, jigs and small tooling repairs.
What We Are Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering experience and a passion for problem-solving.
Essential Experience
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, aviation, production or lineside environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, engineering methods and technical issue resolution.
- A systematic, organised approach with excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
