Our client, a long standing partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to take ownership of the business analysis and change lifecycle for a critical CAFM / Facilities Management platform. This role sits at the intersection of Facilities Operations, system administration, and enterprise change, with a clear mandate to bring structure, clarity, and consistency to how the CAFM system is developed, governed, and improved.
If you are a Business Analyst who enjoys owning a platform end to end, shaping ways of working, and acting as the bridge between operational teams and technical delivery, this role offers real influence and visibility.
What you'll be responsible for:
- You will lead the business analysis and change framework for the CAFM platform, ensuring enhancements and improvements are delivered in a controlled, well documented, and value driven way.
- Owning requirements definition, process mapping, and documentation for CAFM system enhancements.
- Acting as the primary link between FM operations, CAFM system administrators, and wider stakeholders.
- Establishing clear governance, delivery lifecycles, and change controls for CAFM improvements.
- Translating operational FM needs into clear, traceable system requirements.
- Producing current state and future state process maps, SOPs, and operational documentation.
- Supporting backlog prioritisation, release planning, and change impact assessment.
- Facilitating workshops and driving shared understanding across business and system teams.
- Identifying opportunities to improve system usability, adoption, and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
Essential experience:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within complex or enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
- Experience with process mapping, service design, or operational modelling.
- Background supporting enterprise platforms or core business systems.
- Confident stakeholder engagement, including workshop facilitation.
- High standards of written documentation and communication.
Desirable experience:
- Exposure to CAFM, asset management, or FM systems such as Maximo, Planon, or Archibus.
- Experience in facilities management, property, estates, or operational environments.
- Involvement in defining or embedding governance or change frameworks.
- Knowledge of recognised BA or delivery methodologies.
Please note: This role focuses on business analysis and system delivery rather than policy or uniformed operations. Defence experience is welcome but not essential.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our client’s Security Team.
This role is based at our client’s headquarters in Stevenage, a key location for missile operations. The site offers excellent transportation links, an onsite gym, and a coffee shop.
