An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team at Airbus Broughton, supporting the Internal Supply & Support (IS&S) function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, leading meaningful projects, and working closely with shop‑floor teams to keep production running smoothly.
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects that improve and enable Airbus production processes. Working within a supportive ME team, you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to design solutions, enhance efficiency, and ensure high standards across safety, cost and quality. This role combines hands‑on engineering insight with structured project delivery - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, technical environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out process mapping, requirements gathering, and defining "as‑is" and "to‑be" solutions.
- Leading project activities across analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Supporting crane lifts through creation of safe, compliant lifting processes.
- Managing project delivery against agreed budget, schedule, and resource plans.
- Producing high‑quality project documentation aligned with Airbus governance models.
- Identifying, reporting, and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Providing financial management support, including cost‑benefit analysis and project estimates.
- Working collaboratively with shop‑floor teams to minimise disruption and deliver practical, value‑adding solutions.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in Project Management (LBIP, Agile, Planisware or similar tools).
- Engineering background (degree or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to simplify complex information for a wide range of audiences.
- Familiarity with tools such as FMEA, SWOT, 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, flowcharts or Click N Buy (desirable).
- Ability to translate operational requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Experience in lifting and handling methods (advantageous).
- CATIA and/or Jig & Tool experience (advantageous).
