Join Airbus and Lead Critical Fuel System Testing Programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a major fuel system testing programme within the Airbus Test Centre. You'll initially work alongside an established Test Lead, gaining a detailed understanding of the test facility, test strategy and procedures before taking ownership of the programme and leading the shift team through critical testing activities.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the shift test team in the preparation and operation of the test bench in accordance with approved test procedures.
- Directing facility operators and fitters throughout testing activities, ensuring procedures are followed correctly.
- Ensuring all HAZOP requirements, risk assessments and facility procedures are fully understood and adhered to.
- Overseeing the set-up and configuration of instrumentation and video recording systems.
- Capturing and validating test data using instrumentation systems.
- Performing fuel sampling and supporting analysis activities when required.
- Contributing to technical reporting and the interpretation of test results.
- Supporting troubleshooting and fault-finding activities across the test rig and associated systems.
- Developing and improving test procedures to support evolving test programme requirements.
- Providing leadership, guidance and technical direction to the wider shift team.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate experience in leading testing activities within complex engineering environments.
Essential Experience
- Experience working within a test laboratory or test facility environment.
- Experience leading or coordinating testing activities and teams.
- Strong understanding of system testing methodologies and techniques.
- Experience working within hazardous or safety-critical environments.
- Experience testing large-scale, high-pressure fluid mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with hydro-mechanical instrumentation installations.
- Experience using data logging and data acquisition systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Working Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern from day one:
- Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:15
- Late Shift: 13:45 - 22:00
- Alternating weekly rotation
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 20% shift uplift
