Our client, who is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is collaborating with Guidant Global to find a skilled Mechanical Fitter - Night Shift in Bolton with significant experience in mechanical fitting for carrying out manufacturing and testing tasks within the mechanical department.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will operate according to established product certification procedures, workmanship standards, allocated budgets, and timelines to achieve project goals. Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle. Ensure manufacturing build times are met. Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack. Maintain the highest-level workmanship standards and product quality. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
Proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
