Our client, who is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is collaborating with Guidant Global to find a skilled Mechanical Fitter in Bolton with significant experience in mechanical fitting for carrying out manufacturing and testing tasks within the mechanical department.
Key Responsibilities
- Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure and maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
- Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
- Ensure manufacturing build times are met.
- Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
- Maintain the highest-level workmanship standards and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
- Team player who can demonstrate customer focus and communicate best practices to other team members.
- Proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.
Qualifications
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) (Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved). These qualifications must meet the standard to be considered for the role.
Additional Skills
- Manual handling training.
- Lifting & Slinging (Including overhead cranes) and ESD training.
- Completion of Apprenticeship required.
Security Clearance
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
