Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant General Operator to support the Calibration & Maintenance department in a secure manufacturing environment in Bolton. This role is ideal for someone with basic maintenance, facilities or engineering support experience who is looking to develop into a calibration or technical maintenance career. Full training and development are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Support facilities and equipment compliance across site
- Carry out routine maintenance and compliance tasks including: ESD testing, Electrical safety (PAT) testing, LEV filter changes
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Respond to general/reactive maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records
Training & Progression
You will be trained and developed in:
- Mechanical calibration
- Electrical calibration
- Use of test and measurement equipment
This role offers clear progression within the Calibration & Maintenance function.
What We're Looking For
- Some experience or exposure to maintenance, facilities, engineering support or compliance (desirable, not essential)
- Comfortable following procedures and completing documentation
- Reliable, practical and safety-focused
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
