Design electronic test equipment used on complex missile systems. We are supporting a leading UK defence partner on the next generation of advanced weapons. This role focuses on designing and delivering electronic test equipment and test systems, supporting them from concept through development and into manufacture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing electronic test equipment and test systems for advanced weapon platforms
  • Producing schematics, PCB designs, and compliant engineering documentation
  • Supporting designs through manufacture, including engineering changes and production issues
  • Acting as the technical interface between Design Engineering and Manufacturing

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience designing electronic or test equipment systems
  • Strong background in digital and/or analogue electronics
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design
  • Ability to work in structured, regulated engineering environments
  • Desirable:
  • Exposure to power electronics, RF, safety electronics or test systems
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production line activities
  • Familiarity with BS EN standards
  • Defence or highly regulated industry experience (advantageous, not essential)

This job is at our client's site in Bolton facility, one of the North West's leading manufacturing sites for at least 25 years. The facility offers showers and bike racks and is near the motorway, with a petrol station outside. Amenities like an onsite canteen.
