Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical plant and equipment.
- Maintain and service AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers, and other plant room equipment.
- Complete maintenance records using CAFM systems (e. g., Maximo).
- Read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with HTM standards, health & safety regulations, and company KPIs.
- Work independently and report any issues to the Mechanical Team Leader.
- Support maintenance across hospital buildings, including clinical areas when required.
Requirements
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical training.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and PPM.
- Good knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers, and plant room equipment.
- Healthcare, NHS, or PFI experience is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and use CAFM systems.
