Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

You will be working within the Build Production team on cutting-edge commercial and military aircraft, contributing directly to the manufacture of world-class wing structures. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your engineering expertise within a collaborative, safety-focused and forward-thinking environment.
What you’ll be doing
As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling aircraft components to exacting engineering standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting engineering drawings and following detailed work instructions
- Using a variety of hand and power tools for drilling, sealing, shimming, and general assembly work
- Completing tasks to required quality and safety standards
- Undertaking 1st party certification following the appropriate training
- Working safely in confined spaces (such as tank work) and at heights
- Supporting continuous improvement, new ways of working, and team collaboration
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A completed full engineering apprenticeship (e.g. Aircraft Fitter, Sheet Metal Worker, Tool Maker, Maintenance Technician)
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in a recognised engineering discipline
- Experience using hand tools and working in a fitter/assembly environment
- Strong self-motivation and effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
Additional requirements
- Pre-employment medical
- BPSS clearance (arranged by Airbus)
- Compliance with ITAR restrictions
