Contract: Umbrella / PAYE

About the role

Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit a Data Management Engineer to support key data management activities within the Landing Gear (LG) domain. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact data improvement and governance initiatives within a complex, large-scale engineering environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring data is well-controlled, accessible, and fit for purpose-supporting both operational excellence and long-term data governance. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making tangible improvements to how data is managed and used.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting data management implementation within the Landing Gear domain, including network-attached data containment
  • Contributing to data improvement initiatives, such as enhancing site pages, documentation, and data structures
  • Ensuring effective control, governance, and management of data produced across LG operational areas
  • Supporting the preparation of data governance guidelines and related communication materials
  • Working with multiple stakeholders, providing support and guidance where required
  • Applying a proactive and flexible approach to managing tasks and priorities autonomously

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong experience using Windows command line and scripting (autonomous level)
  • Basic data analytics and reporting capability
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with an agile and flexible approach
  • Solid general IT skills with a willingness to support others

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of data management processes
  • Business data modelling skills
  • Python programming experience
  • Experience with Google Workspace and Google Sites management
