Payrate: £13.47 per hr. via PAYE/ £16.99 per hr. via Umbrella
Working Arrangement: Office based position, Tuesday to Friday (28hrs per week), 8am to 4pm
Role Purpose
To provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to managers, individuals and teams, to enable them to maximise their delivery and assist Client's and its clients in achieving its purpose and objectives. The role will undertake a range of basic administrative tasks as required and requested, with support from senior colleagues available.
Accountabilities
- Provide routine business support as requested and required, such as printing and photocopying, and processing incoming/outgoing mail/correspondence to support the team.
- Act as a point of contact for members of the public, work with other Client's departments and external partner organisations to resolve customer queries and deliver a successful customer focused Service.
- Collate information and undertake defined word processing and other ICT-related tasks such as maintaining records or databases, to inform monitoring and decision making, and support service delivery.
- Undertake meeting support including diary management, room bookings and minute taking, to ensure defined schedules are achieved and records maintained.
- Where required and instructed, liaise with external suppliers to place orders, or obtain quotes, check invoices or purchase orders against defined requirements.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience required
- GCSE level qualification, or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- Some knowledge of the area of the Council supported.
- Basic knowledge of standard ICT packages, such as Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and processes.
- Experience of providing business/administrative support services.
- Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a polite and efficient manner.
- Ability to reprioritise tasks according to need and urgency.
