Pearly Cow & No.42 By GuestHouse, Margate are looking to recruit a superstar Head Chef to lead our kitchen brigade from the front, making us the go-to foodie destination in Margate.
The Job
You’ll get to help develop a seasonal menu for our restaurant. You get to help train your teams the way you see fit. You get to help find the best produce from the best local suppliers around and use them to create dishes that inspire wonder, all whilst ensuring food safety standards are being upheld. No.42 has various food outlets including our signature restaurant ‘Pearly Cow’, showcasing the best of British Meat and Seafood, a seafront cosy private events space serving delicious small plates and Lounge based snacks in our bar.

You are food obsessed. You love fine dining as much as you love a good burger- and take pride in cooking either to perfection. You’ll understand seasonality and sustainability in the kitchen. You understand what British produce is all about, and love to present the most beautiful plates around. You’ll also have a good understanding of the Margate food scene.
You understand how the kitchen works, from top to bottom. And most of all- you love your team- you know how to train, motivate and lead by example. You are hands-on and love spending your time in the kitchen, not in front of a computer.
