The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team at our Head Office in West Bromwich. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, particularly suited to a recent graduate or someone looking to build a career in finance. The role offers genuine opportunities for development and progression within a supportive and growing organisation. Study support is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and processing payment runs via BACS and cheque
- Liaising professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Investigating and resolving queries in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
About You
We are looking for an individual who is organised, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of work. You will ideally demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, flexible and “can-do” attitude
- The ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
- A willingness to learn and develop within a finance function
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
