The Transportation Supervisor oversees warehouse operations, including purchasing, shipping, receiving, and laundry. Ensures proper delivery of all products associated with park operating units. Maintain adequate vehicle fleet maintenance and oversee the transportation program. Directly supervise shuttle drivers. This position reports to the Procurement & Transportation Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drive truck on a daily basis.
- Perform vehicle pre-trip safety inspection; maintain vehicle log trip.
- Safely load product, laundry, and recycling onto and off of truck, often unassisted.
- Maintain food temperature log of food supplies transported in vehicles.
- Enforce and comply with company and DOT safety policies and laws for everyone in the vehicle.
- Performs such other related duties as directed or required.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- Partial High School education required; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
- Knowledge of the roadways in and around the city and resort.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and more than 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
- Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
