Overview
The Seasonal Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room.
Reports To: Store Management
Responsibilities
- Customer Experience: Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code and maintaining store standards and cleanliness on the stock room and selling floor.
- Inventory Control: Notify management of shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns; sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise; bring new goods to the selling floor; replenish stock from the stock room; execute transfers, Return to Vendor (RTV), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends; ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times.
- Cooperation & Dependability: Satisfactorily complete duties as assigned, be punctual, work well with peers and management, follow GUESS policies and procedures, and perform housekeeping duties.
- Miscellaneous Responsibilities: Participate in store meetings and related functions; maintain a positive attitude toward merchandise and the company; participate in inventories; assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management; physical requirement to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
