The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.
To clean specified areas within Electricity House and the Control Centre for 2 hours per day between 5pm and 7pm Monday to Friday. There is a team of part-time cleaners employed to clean the main office blocks, individual and shared work areas and facilities, including the toilets, kitchens, hallways and stairwells. The work is undertaken out of normal office hours with a consequent requirement to maintain confidentiality and security. The Office Cleaner will use a range of equipment including vacuum cleaners, dusters, disinfectants and wipes.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean allocated areas at specified times to meet accepted standards.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials and methods used are appropriate for the job.
- Report any damage or defects encountered to secure early rectification.
- Lock offices as necessary after cleaning to maintain site security.
- Be aware of and comply with relevant legislation, specifically related to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Prior knowledge and experience in an office cleaning role is preferred. No specific training is required, but post holders are given basic instructions on what needs to be done and the methods to be used when they commence work. Must be medically fit and capable of manual handling of office furniture and cleaning equipment.
