Job Description
Days/ Nights – 24Hr Site
Shift Pattern to be confirmed
Gatehouse Manning
The Contractor shall provide continuous manning of the port gatehouse on a 24/7 basis, including weekends, public holidays and emergency situations.
Duties Shall Include
- Control of all vehicular and pedestrian access and egress.
- Verification of identification and authority to enter the site.
- Checking and recording visitor details.
- Monitoring contractor arrivals and departures.
- Maintaining gatehouse occurrence logs.
- Responding to alarms and incidents.
- Radio communications with port personnel and emergency services where required.
- Initial response to security breaches and suspicious activities.
- Monitoring compliance with port access procedures.
- Security personnel shall conduct security searches of persons, vehicles, baggage and stores when directed by the PFSP, PFSO or prevailing security level.
- Real-time monitoring of security cameras.
- Identification and reporting of suspicious behaviour.
- Incident detection and escalation.
- Reporting equipment faults or failures.
The Contractor shall maintain a documented CCTV monitoring procedure and incident reporting process.
Responsibilities Include
- Verification of employee, contractor and visitor credentials.
- Operation of access control systems.
- Issuing temporary access permissions.
- Maintaining electronic and manual access records.
- Preventing unauthorised entry.
Visitor Management
The Contractor Shall Administer The Visitor Management Process Including
- Visitor registration and sign-in procedures.
- Verification of visitor identity.
- Contacting hosts for visitor authorisation.
- Issuing visitor passes.
- Recovering visitor passes upon departure.
- Maintaining visitor records and audit trails.
Incident Response
- Respond immediately to security incidents.
- Investigate suspicious activity.
- Provide initial incident containment.
- Assist emergency services.
- Preserve evidence where required.
- Produce written incident reports within 24 hours.
Mandatory
- Valid SIA Security Guard Licence or SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
