Due to ongoing and continued success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, passionate, and forward-thinking security officer to join our team at one of our sites in the Sunderland area. You should have good communication skills, look smart and have experience within the security industry.

Job Purpose: The purpose is to develop and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

Job Overview: A Security Officer protects the safety of the premises while providing support, direction, and information to all employees, visitors, and contractors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase site security by keeping a constant presence across the facility
  • Monitor alarms, protect the site against unlawful access and perform routine security equipment tests
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed while controlling the staff, visitors and contractors' access to the premises
  • Record and report any hazards and unsafe working practices
  • Where necessary, you will need to undertake the necessary legal restraints and control in a professional manner
  • Complete daily reports of any accidents or incidents and ensure the necessary action is taken

Requirements:

  • A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor/Security Guarding Licence (Essential)
  • A valid CCTV Licence (Essential)
  • Driving Licence (Preferred but not essential)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
  • Be reliable and trustworthy
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
