We are seeking a reliable and professional security operative to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of a busy commercial premises in a retail setting. Key Duties:
- Cleaning duties to include all internal and external areas of the site, front and back of house.
- Litter picking and maintaining high standards in a retail setting featuring many businesses within a busy Victorian shopping arcade.
- Waste management incorporating the use of compactors (training will be given).
- Monitoring CCTV in conjunction with regular site patrols to ensure site security and public safety.
- Conducting regular and mandatory safety/compliance checks (fire alarm, sprinklers, generator and legionella tests).
- Locking/unlocking areas as required.
- Accurate completion of daily logs, compliance records and reports.
- Customer service/communication – regularly dealing with the client, tenants, services, trades, and the general public via phone, email, or in person.
- Visit retail, leisure and tenanted units and discuss security issues with the tenants.
Requirements:
- Valid SIA licence (essential)
- First aid trained
- Relevant experience in a retail/leisure/F&B or office workspace environment
- CCTV monitoring experience advantageous although this could be provided to the right candidate.
- Able to work independently and on your own initiative.
- Punctual, dependable and well presented.
- Flexible to provide weekday cover when required.
- Previous experience in facilities, security, or estate services is preferred.
- Able to cover annual leave Monday - Friday.
