Salary - £14.80 per hour

Daily Duties

  • Carry out regular patrols of the building to check for any problems, and report any faults to the relevant personnel.
  • Manage the fire alarm panel and other control panels in the building.
  • Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and report any cleaning issues to the client.
  • Ensure that all visitors are greeted with excellent customer service and visitor procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensure the health and safety of the building is maintained.
  • Ensure meter readings are taken on a monthly basis.
  • Manage and distribute post upon receipt.
  • Log maintenance jobs for necessary works to be completed.
  • Ensure site manuals and procedures are regularly checked and updated.
  • Direct all visitors to correct floors.
  • Ensure the reception desk runs effectively.
  • Actions and responds to email instructions.

Individual Requirements

  • Experience as a receptionist or in customer service.
  • Experience within a corporate environment.
  • Professionally presented, self-confident and smartly dressed at all times.
  • Good health and safety knowledge.
  • Understand simplicity of detail and a strong attention to detail.
  • Good intermediate computer literacy.
  • Good oral and written English with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to remain calm and effectively manage and respond to difficult people or situations.
  • Desire to learn more about how a building runs and a passion for development, as this role will eventually take on more building management duties.
