An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Reception Manager at Eighty Strand. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, professional, and consistent operation of the reception function while leading and developing the reception team to deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and occupiers. In addition to maintaining the highest service standards, the successful candidate will oversee a range of administrative responsibilities including staff rota management, occupier reporting, building management support, and the organisation of occupier engagement initiatives designed to enhance community interaction and occupier experience. Professionalism, leadership, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet all visitors, occupiers, and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the reception team to maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Monitor service delivery and identify opportunities to continuously improve the front-of-house experience.
  • Manage and coordinate visitor flows, including large group bookings and VIP arrivals, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the reception team, handling enquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all reception procedures operate effectively, including visitor management systems, security procedures, and access control processes.
  • Maintain oversight of staff attendance and ensure adequate cover is arranged for holidays, sickness, and other absences.
  • Handle daily occupier and building management requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organise, promote, and oversee a weekly occupier engagement event to enhance occupier experience and community interaction.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with building management, facilities, and security teams.
  • Ensure the reception area remains safe, presentable, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
  • Manage all administrative functions relating to the reception operation, including staff rotas, annual leave management, and operational planning.
  • Produce and distribute monthly occupier reports relating to the visitor management system, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the reception area and wider site to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety.
  • Oversee the monthly occupier newsletter, including content relating to building events, engagement activities, and occupier communications.
  • Maintain organised building management filing systems and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Upload and update building announcements, events, and occupier communications on the Locale platform.
  • Hold monthly team meetings and development catch-ups with reception staff to support continuous improvement and team engagement.
  • Provide administrative support to the Building Management team as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Reception Manager, Front of House Manager, or Senior Receptionist position.
  • Experience within a corporate environment is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support a team.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional, confident, and well-presented at all times.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Good intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging situations.
  • Understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a corporate environment.
  • Experience producing reports, newsletters, and managing administrative processes would be advantageous.
  • Experience using visitor management systems and occupier engagement platforms is desirable.
