Claims Specialist - Hybrid in London

Are you an experienced Claims Specialist looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are looking for a talented individual with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the UK life, critical illness and health protection insurance sector and strong customer service skills to manage Life, Critical Illness, and/or disability claims.

What does a Claims Specialist do?
As a Claims Specialist, you\’ll manage Life, Critical Illness, and/or Disability claims, making key decisions and providing excellent customer support through our HALO claims service, ensuring compliance with industry standards and UK regulations while managing and enhancing our customers\’ experience addressing each case with precision and empathy.

Your responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

Managing a portfolio of Life, Critical Illness, and/or disability related claims in line with Industry guidelines, UK legislation, and best practice claims management techniques

Listening to our customers and helping to support them through our HALO claims service

Building strong relationships with internal and external partners

Supporting the growth and development of our disability claims management proposition

Who are we looking for?
In this role your skills and experience with Life, Critical Illness, and/or disability related claims will be crucial in identifying trends and contributing to the continuous improving and development of best practices.

Experience managing all aspects of Life, Critical Illness, and/or disability related claims within an agreed claims authority

A detailed knowledge of the UK protection insurance market and regulatory environment

Great customer service skills with a passion and desire to achieve the best outcome for the customer

To support this experience, you\’ll have special skills or qualities such as:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong planning and organisational skills

A CII claims qualification, or similar, is desirable but not essential
