GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting for a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teacher of Performing Arts to work within a supportive secondary school environment in Hull. This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced teacher or a passionate educator looking to make a positive impact through engaging Performing Arts education.

About the Role

As a Teacher of Performing Arts, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that encourage students to develop their creativity, confidence, performance skills, and understanding of the subject. You will create an inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to express themselves, collaborate with others, and develop their practical and theoretical knowledge.

Core Responsibilities of the Teacher of Performing Arts:

• Plan and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons that meet curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
• Develop students’ performance, creativity, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Provide practical opportunities for students to explore performance techniques and creative ideas.
• Differentiate teaching and activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.

As the Ideal Teacher of Performing Arts, You Should Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical experience within Performing Arts.
• Previous experience teaching Performing Arts within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students through creative and practical learning.
• A passionate, adaptable, and student-focused approach to teaching.

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Provide an up-to-date CV and references covering the last 2 years.
• Have recent experience working with children or young people.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
