GSL Education London Branch are delighted to be looking for a Sociology and Health & Social Care Teacher to join a vibrant coeducational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and inspiring educator to make a real difference to students’ learning and future success. As a Sociology and Health & Social Care Teacher, you will play an important role in shaping young minds, building confidence, and preparing learners for higher education and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Sociology and Health & Social Care across KS4 and KS5.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full academic potential.
  • Assess, track, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and wider school life.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Sociology and/or Health & Social Care at secondary or sixth form level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
