Are you a passionate SEN Sports Coach looking to inspire and support students in a secondary school setting? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Sports Coach to join our schools in Romfordfrom September. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to using sports and physical activity to engage and support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role:
As an SEN Sports Coach, you will:
- Plan and deliver inclusive sports sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities.
- Use physical education to build confidence, teamwork, and positive behaviours in students.
- Support students both in structured sports lessons and during unstructured times such as break and lunch.
- Adapt activities to ensure all students can participate and achieve success.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Sports Coach, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role within a school or sports setting.
- A background in coaching, PE instruction, or sports leadership, ideally with experience supporting SEN students.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with students.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a proactive, patient approach to working with young people.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (FA Level 1, Multi-Skills Coaching, or similar) would be an advantage.
