GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is committed to helping them reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role:

Full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Supporting students with SEN needs, including 1:1 and small group interventions

Assisting pupils in accessing learning and developing essential social and emotional skills

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and the wider pastoral team to create a positive learning environment

Promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing in all learners

The Successful Candidate Will:

Have prior experience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs (desirable)

Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to supporting students

Be adaptable and enthusiastic, with the ability to respond to the varied needs of pupils

Show a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for all learners and contributing to school life
