GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client primary school in Tower Hamlets as a SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to work with various SEND children. The wellbeing of the students is very important to the school, and they have a professional pastoral team who ensure that every child has the help they require. They are a fully inclusive school that will launch a dedicated provision in 2023 to improve the offer for children with unique learning needs. The school understands the responsibilities placed on working parents and provides inexpensive wraparound daycare.
About the Role: As a dedicated SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs. Your mission is to provide tailored support, create bucket sessions, and run engaging sessions in Phonics, Maths, and English, all while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Bucket Sessions: Create and implement effective bucket sessions to deliver personalized support to SEN children, catering to their unique learning needs and learning styles.
- Phonics: Assist in developing and delivering phonics sessions that promote language and literacy skills, ensuring that every child receives the attention and resources necessary for progress.
- Maths: Utilize innovative teaching techniques to make Maths fun and accessible to all students, ensuring that they develop essential numeracy skills and build their confidence.
- English: Inspire a love for reading and writing by conducting engaging English sessions that encourage self-expression and communication for SEN students.
- One-to-One Support: Provide individual support to students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
